THE Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre, Rowe Park in Yaba, the venue for some of the events of the 18th National Sports Festival, tagged Eko 2012, is now ready for the championship.
The state-of-the-earth medical centre is almost completed, while halls that will host events like wrestling and judo, including the new toilet facilities, is almost completed.
According to the Project manager, Architect Kumbi Ayinla, all the other facilities are 100 per cent completed.
“The project is 100 per cent completed, while the one storey building meant for medical center purposely built for Eko 2012 is also near completion. To ensure that the facilities are ready on time, we have been working day and night on site.
“We promised the Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Youth, Sports and Social Development, when they inspected the site on September 5 that before mid October, we will deliver 90 to 95 per cent of the project and we are happy that we have surpassed that now.
