Ambassador J.T Kolo, a former Nigerian ambassador to the United Kingdom during IBB's regime died yesterday morning after slipping in his bathroom. Ambassador Kolo was by himself when the incident occurred. He was found dead hours later by a domestic staff inside his Minna, Niger State home. He was 74. May his soul rest in peace...Amen

Morientez is a Nigeria Born artiste, who started his musical journey by singing in a church choir at age 7. A graduate of chemistry from the University of Benin, he has performed in churches, clubs, competitions and several events. 

He has participated in and won several music talent competitions in Nigeria, among them the The MTN/Soundcity Campus blast 2007, he was a runner-up at the Star Quest music talent hunt 2008, he was a semi finalist at the Naija sings 2010 competition, and winner Mr Glo Rock and Rule 2011(South South region).

His musical influences are several decades of local and foreign artistes, Motown artists, hip-hop icons, R&B crooners, Fela Kuti, Rex Lawson and to a large extent, Bob Marley.

His encounter with iconic producer Sunky , CEO Sunkytones sparked the beginning of a fantastic hit production partnership. Sunky is the wonder-kid producer who churned out several hits for the R&B group  Styl-Plus, who released songs such as “olufunmi”, “Imagine that” just to name a few.

Morientez has worked with several big names in preparation for his album, including Nigeria’s top notch rapper, MI.

The Chief Executive Officer of Bi-Courtney Ltd, Wale Babalakin, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was alleged to have helped in facilitating the siphoning about N2 billion belonging to Delta State on behalf of former Governor James Ibori. 

This is coming a few days after a concessionary agreement between Bi- Courtney and federal government on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway was terminated by government. EFCC sources in Abuja confirmed that the charges were filed against Babalakin today at a Lagos High Court in Ikeja (Daily Times)
