An MDB reader sent me the picture of the snake above, a python alleged to roaming the floods in Delta state.
It's being reported previously that wild animals including crocodiles are on the loose in these flooded areas, but many dismissed it as a rumor. Its really sad, how the government could let a preventable disaster like the flood happen, when there was ample time to prevent it. *Smh*.

Louise Priddy has finally closed Bacchus Nite Club which she has been operating for over eleven years. Louise inherited the club from her father many years back and said part of the reason she closed it down was because of the effect her father's death has had on her and their entire family. Plus all the stress of running a club, customers debts etc.

Bacchus Nite Club, situated on Awolowo Rd, was officially closed yesterday Dec 1st. Her farewell party held there yesterday.

Couple of days ago, I informed you that Akpako master Terry G is allegedly wanted by the police.
In an official statement released by Terry G through his management team, 03 Media, the singer has now responded to the allegations stating that the hit and run story is false.

The statement reads: “TERRY G COMES OUT PUBLICLY DENOUNCING THE  HIT AND RUN STORY

According to Terry G, “I was at club Royale with friends having fun. When it was time for me to leave I was escorted by 2 bouncers of the club to my car. Yes, some guys try 2 mob me while I was leaving which is normal, but I got into my car peacefully and drove out after couple of pictures with my fans. I never received any call from the police inviting me for a hit and run case and I have no reason to be on the run. I am a known face so what sense does it make hitting someone and running? I might act crazy but I am not heartless. I have been in the country focusing on my job…!! freedom of information is not freedom of misinformation..I did not hit anyone and I am not and was not wanted by Nigeria police..”

Not long ago, Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Rita Dominic,  granted an interview to a magazine in which she stated her desire have twins.

Unknown to Rita, her words had deeply touched a secret admirer, singer LKT, first known for his fuji like inflection in Olu Maintain’s hit-song titled ‘Yahoozee.’

Unable to contain his feelings anymore, LKT has now decided to come out publicly to declare his love for beautiful Rita and told PUNCH:

“I’ve been dating Rita in my dreams and I’ve always loved to see her in the movies. When I read her interview, something in me said I should voice out my admiration and affections for her.
“If truly her heart desire is to have a set of twins, I can give her that. I have got twins in my genes. It might sound awkward or a joke, but I’m not kidding; nor am I looking for cheap publicity.
“I would have approached her a long time ago, but I thought she was already taken by another man. Even if it turns out that she is older than me, I can live with it.  Age is nothing but a number,” he says.

LKT is also responsible for the hit songs  "follow-follow" featuring P-Square, and "Alaye" currently enjoying airplay on radio, and making waves in clubs.

The Aide-de-Camp to the Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, Mr. Omo Gabriel, and two other police officers on Saturday, allegedly beat up a policeman attached the state government house for delaying in opening the gate for the governor’s convoy.

The incident, which occurred around 12:30am, when the governor returned from his wife’s birthday party, left the victim unconscious.

The mobile policeman, Corporal Itere Ewedor, was said to have been on duty at the security post when the governor’s convoy drove in.

Efforts to speak to Ewedor on Saturday were not successful as he was said to be resting but his friend, Mr. David Edhie, confirmed the incident.

He told SUNDAY PUNCH that after hearing the hooting of the horn from the governor’s convoy, the policeman opened the gate only for the ADC, a superintendent of police, and two other senior police officers to descend on him.

He said, “When the governor’s convoy got to the gate, the men of the civil defence corps and members of the Imo orientation corps, who were supposed to open the gate, were not around. So, there was a delay. Then my friend went to open the gate.

“When the convoy drove in, the ADC and some other police officers came down and asked him why he delayed. They wanted to collect his gun, but he refused. So, they started beating him. They beat him until he became unconscious, with bruises all over his face and parts of his body.”      

Edhie added that the ADC took Ewedor, in his unconscious state, to Shell Camp Police Station and requested that he be detained.

He said, “The police officers at the station refused. They said they could not detain someone that was dying. Then Gabriel made arrangements for Ewedor to be taken to the Federal Medical Centre Owerri, where he was admitted. After sometime, he regained consciousness.”

SUNDAY PUNCH learnt that Ewedor, was discharged from the hospital around 5pm on Saturday.

Edhie said the ADC had made frantic efforts to get Ewedor discharged from the hospital, because sympathisers, including journalists, were visiting the the place.

When contacted, the state Commissioner for Information and Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Mr. Chinedu Offor, refuted the report. 

He said, “The ADC to Governor Okorocha is a true professional, there is no way he could have descended so low to physically assault somebody. In order not to scare people away, we use men of the civil defence corps at the gate. We don’t use policemen at the gates of the government house. So, if anybody says a policeman was beaten up for refusing to open the gate, it is false. I was at the government house around 12:30am. Such a thing never happened.”

West Brom defender Liam Ridgewell, is currently being vilified for a stupid prank, evidenced by the picture above.
The 28 year old squats over a toilet and wipes his backside with a wad of £20 notes.
Scattered on the floor in front of him are dozens more £20 notes, totaling almost £1,000.
The Premier League star, who earns at least £20,000 a week, is apparently using the cash instead of toilet roll. Seriously????


                                         
Following the backlash that followed the release of the picture, the player claims the sick stunt was simply a “joke” to wind up a friend.
The picture which has left many gobsmacked was taken in the bathroom of Ridgewell’s £1.5million home in Barnt Green, Birmingham, and  sent to The Sun by a West Brom fan who begged for anonymity.
He said: “The people of West Bromwich earn a fraction of what this idiot earns yet he makes a mockery of his good fortune like this. It makes me sick.”
“We’ve always thought footballers were arrogant, overpaid buffoons and this just proves it.”
Ridgewell, an unused sub in his side’s 1-0 defeat to Stoke yesterday, apologised last night.
He said: “The photo was taken in the privacy of my home around eight months ago as a joke to wind up a mate, who I had just won a personal bet with.
“I only intended him to see the photo but now it’s public, I can understand how it will be viewed. I am sorry for any offence it causes.”
