Boko Haram Did Not Choose Buhari To Mediate– CPC

The news is a ploy to tarnish Buhari’s image, CPC says

The opposition Congress for progressive change party, CPC, has said the emerging media link between its national leader, Muhammed Buhari, and a planned parley between Boko Haram and the Nigerian government is aimed at tarnishing his image. The party denied that the terrorist group appointed Buhari, to mediate between them and Federal Government in a planned peace process.
The Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Rotimi Fashakin, said this in a statement on Thursday.
Mr. Fashakin said that the news is a “cheap propaganda” by the ruling party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP. to tarnish the “quintessential image” of its leader.
“We call on all Nigerians to reject this latest deceptive ploy by this PDP-led government and demand for more transparency in the governance of the Nation.
The CPC insisted that the ruling party is the mastermind of the insecurity ravaging the nation. The party insisted that there are three variants of Boko Haram with the government running at least one variant.
“From recollection of events of the last two years, there are three variants of the Boko-Haram: the original Boko-Haram that is at daggers drawn with the Nigerian authority for the extra-judicial killing of their leader; the criminal Boko-haram that is involved in all criminality for economic reasons and of course, the most lethal of all, the Political Boko-Haram-which this PDP-led Federal government represents,” the party said.
The party said Buhari has never been directly or remotely connected with any insurrection or insurgency against the Nigerian Nation and her people.

Gosssip hell no this true-Imiefan Omokaro, a three-year old pupil in Benin City, was on Thursday afternoon, found dead in the toilet of her school. She was said to have tumbled into a bucket half-filled with water. A source disclosed that little Imiefan was found by a teacher in the toilet who immediately raised alarm and the was taken to the Winners Chapel Church, operators of the school, where pastors engaged in series of prayers to revive the .

Strange enough, at the close of school, when Imiefan’s mother came to pick her, the teacher said they were looking for her. The source added that it was not until two hours after Omokaro fell into the bucket that she was taken to a hospital where she was confirmed dead by the nurse on duty.
Father of the who gave his name as Omokaro Jolly, said he dropped his daughter at school hale and hearty and was surprised that the school authorities could not tell him what happened to his daughter.
He said his wife called him at about 3:45 to inform him that their daughter was missing and when he got to the school, he was asked to go to the hospital where he saw his child stone dead.
According to him, “When I dropped my daughter in school, she said I should come and pick her up so that I can buy her chocolate but I can’t see my daughter now.”
Imiefan’s class teacher and two nannies were arrested upon reporting the matter at the Etete Police Station.
”I can’t bring a baby to school  and they expect me to collect a lifeless baby. It is their responsibility to tell me what happened to my baby”.
The wife, Mrs. Osarogue who was apparently worse hit by the mysterious death of her little child said amid tears, “I went to the school and asked where is my love. Nobody answered me. I asked the aunty, she told me that my daughter went to the toilet.”

Cassandra Elyse Norwood
A 21-year-old Georgia woman was arrested Thursday after police say she stabbed to death her infant son just hours after giving birth to him.
According to officials, the mother, Cassandra Elyse Norwood, delivered the baby in secret and without any assistance in the Athens home where she lived with her parents and other relatives.
Norwood was taken to a hospital to be treated for delivery-related blood loss where she remained under guard before being transported to Clarke County Jail Friday morning.

Athens-Clarke police told the Athens Banner-Herald the 21-year-old was alone in one part of the house on Great Oak Drive when she gave birth Thursday afternoon.
At around 1pm, police received a 911 call from someone who had found the baby’s lifeless body inside the residence in the Waverly Woods subdivision.
First responders who arrived on the scene discovered the slain infant. Shortly after, Norwood was taken into custody and charged with murder before being sent to Athens Regional Medical Center.
Police would not speculate about the motive behind the deadly stabbing, only saying that Norwood did not require psychiatric care while at the hospital.
Norwood’s Facebook page says the 21-year-old, who has three siblings, graduated from Cedar Shoals High School in 2009. She also listed marketing at Athens Technical College under the education classification.
