“Books And Paper$” explains the life of a young rapper who is also a student with a drive for making money (as you already know Toni Numa aka Sifer is a law student) hence the title, ‘books’ and ‘papers’. Certain songs on the tape, such as “Shutter Island” and “Catch 22″ portray a satire about the state of affairs in the young artistes homeland (Nigeria) and the attitude of its people. Tracks like “Higher” personify the deepest thoughts of the astute lyricist and his views on life. The intro, “8am Lecture”, depicts a scenario in which a student is awoken by an alarm for an early lecture. This track seems to set the pace for the entire mixtape as it is followed by other exciting songs. The 13 track mixtape features other talented artistes such as Omagz, Darkz, Lexiz, Kay & Papachill. Sifer produced all the tracks except for 2 tracks that were produced by Nobie and Timi-Mac. The tape has been deemed by critics to be “Downright Hip Hop & Rap” as it conveys “Lustrous Lyrics”.
